“Everyone needs a coach. It doesn’t matter whether you're a basketball player, a tennis player, a gymnast or a bridge player. - Bill Gates.
Nobody gets through this life successfully alone, that’s part of what makes humans special. We share information and learn from one another. The most elite athletes in the world all have coaches, not because they lack knowledge or motivation, they have them because they know that with the right guidance, feedback and accountability they can fully unlock their true potential.
Having been on both sides of personal training I can personally attest to the profound progress someone can make when they have the proper guidance and accountability. If I hadn’t signed up to work with a personal trainer 7 years ago, who knows where I would’ve been today. I definitely wouldn’t be a personal trainer myself and honestly I probably would’ve been on the roller coaster of fitness that so many people are on: eat crappy food -> gain weight -> feel bad about myself -> go back to the gym and struggle for 2 weeks -> repeat.
You may be locked into your fitness now but life has a way of knocking us off course and pulling us in different directions. Hiring a personal trainer is basically a guarantee that you’re committed to your health and fitness so that no matter what life throws at you, you will still be moving in the right direction and working towards becoming the healthiest version of yourself.
